Frontiers in Science Lecture Series

The Club initiated its Frontiers in Science lecture series in 2011 for the community at large, believing that the love of scientific knowledge would attract a devoted audience. Since then, scientists and other experts have lectured on a wide variety of topics, including particle physics, volcanoes, brain science, earthquakes, forestry, genetics, cancer and nutrition.

Lectures are generally held on the third Tuesday of the month from September to May, excluding December. The venue is the Belfry, 302 E. Main, in Sisters. Lectures generally start at 7PM, with a no-host social hour starting at 6PM.

There may also be bonus summer lectures some years. The dates and venues for these lectures may vary from the regular lecture series so see the description for the specific lecture for details.
